We are a group of Christ-loving, people-loving, sports loving, music loving, culture loving and evangelistic-minded Christians in VCF which aims to use our spiritual gifting to reach out to international students all over the world and share with them our faith through our lifestyle!

Vision:

Responding to God's calling for mission to all nations, our vision is to establish and nurture student-led international witnessing communities which welcome international students and scholars, proclaim the true Gospel of Christ, and help them grow as His disciples and be salt and light on campus and in the world.

The Strategic ministry of IFG

• Unique opportunity (Singapore = v popular exchange destination)
• Little or almost no language barrier (since most understand basic English)
• Reverse mission /Mission at our door step
• Access to students from closed door countries
• A way to ‘stand out’ by extending our hospitality to the strangers among us.
• A community effort is super effective! (introducing an international friend to fellow VCFers)

Activities include: but not exhaustive!

• Helping OSA with their ISO (Intl Students’ Orientation) for both full-time and exchange. (July/August and Dec/Jan)
• Welcome Tea to usher in new students at the start of each semester. (2nd week of school in each semester 1 and 2)
• ISC (Intl Students’ Café) every Weds at PGP where we will meet up with the intl students for some fun activities and thereafter dinner.
• Bible Study for international students.
• Conduct international students’ topical studies for CGs.
• PRC Orientation Camp for incoming NUS PRC students, in collaboration with MOE (Ministry of Education).
• ESC (English Speaking Corner) + an established Buddy System for these Chinese students post orientation.
• Food Hunts where we take the intl students on a food tour around Singapore!
• Match up Intl students with VCFers for host-dinners and home-stays programmes.
• An Intl students’ potluck cum cook-fest!
• Study Groups + Sports Fest!
