Vision of RHCF
To apply biblical principles to hall life, through a strong foundation in the Word and genuine fellowship, so as to become salt and light in campus and society.
We have a very unique ministry here at Raffles Hall, a call to serve the Christian community and reach out to non-believers. As is case for the entire hall ministry, Christian hall dwellers have the influence to either point people towards Christ or to cause them to stumble badly.
Why?
As one can imagine, hall life is very much about community living. One is constantly surrounded by people and engaged in social interactions throughout most of the day, from mealtimes to bedtimes; we are constantly in touch with the world.
The challenge is to resist the lure of the secular world and not to be a part of it; to be salt and light- salt that prevents the decay of values, light that shows others that hope for change is in Jesus Christ.
How?
Firstly, by equipping fellow CFers with biblical truth and challenging them to live them out. This is to be done through CG sessions which include bible studies and topical studies.
Secondly, we aim to develop prayer – both corporate and personal, into a lifestyle. Time will be allocated on a regular basis for group prayer in the CG, and we will encourage members to pray and petition God on the behalf of fellow brothers and sisters as well.
Thirdly, we aim to establish an environment where genuine fellowship exists. In John 13:35, Jesus said: “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” The sincerity, selflessness and love in our relationships with fellow Christians surely speaks volumes about who our Savior is, and prayerfully God will continue to bind us together for His glory.
We hope you have gained a greater insight into who we are and what our plans are for the year ahead. If you have any queries regarding our ministry, please approach Julian at julkoo@gmail.com. Your prayers and support are always welcome with much gratitude.
In His service,
The RHCF Team
