Vision

VCF science is committed to the same long standing vision of the VCF - “To make and build disciples of Jesus Christ who will be effective salt and light of the world on campus and in society.”

As a faculty, we are convicted of and committed to this vision. We want to communicate this vision and move together with the larger body of VCF to engage the hearts and minds of NUS students. Although a ‘vision’ is commonly used as a benchmark to represent the pinnacle of achievement for a particular organization, we believe that the VCF vision, adapted from a portion of Christ’s sermon on the mount, means so much more.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored?” - Matt 5:13a

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.” - Matt 5:14-15

(Wed Science CG)

As Christ’s followers we are expected to live out and emulate His life. Christ clearly said that we ARE ‘salt and light’ and as His followers it makes no sense to shirk away from the marvelous privilege to be part of His glorious plan. Let us join hands as we seek to bring Him the glory and praise due His name. We humbly seek to hold the banner of Christ high in our faculty (and beyond) and through our lives, seek to reflect God’s glory and point others to Him!

What we do

The main structural feature of Science VCF are our Contact Groups (CGs). We meet in our groups for worship, prayer and bible study on a weekly basis. Currently our groups meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively. We usually gather at the pink tables in the science canteen at 6pm for dinner and fellowship before proceeding for our meetings. Do join us so that we can learn from one another and work together for Christ!

Days: Every Tuesdays and Wednesdays (choose 1)
Time: 6pm @ pink tables in the science canteen.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any other queries! God Bless!
